This includes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>a) <strong>Agricultural tillage and seeding equipment<\/strong><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> b) <strong>Agricultural Tractors \u2013 frames and associated components<\/strong><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> c) Combine components<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> d) Grain storage structures<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> d) Heavy (Class 8) trucks and components &#8211; frames, cabs, attachments<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> e) Military vehicles, military trailers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bill Smith has also set up and run (data acquisition) systems for acquiring base engineering data showing the operational characteristics of equipment, particularly equipment working in a field environment. These characteristics include:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>1) Strain<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> 2) Deflection<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> 3) Shock (Acceleration)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> 4) Temperature<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> 5) Pressure<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> 6) Other transducers that give an electrical output signal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This data has been used to conduct lab testing to determine and improve durability of components.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mechanical Engineering William (Bill) D.
